1) take apart half of the front interior of your car
2) replace parts with parts from navi car
3) hope you didn't miss anything

I doubt there will ever be a step by step guide. I did it in my CL and there are just way too many things to list. The product should take a full weekend to complete even after you have spent a week or two planning. Just make sure you take your time and that you have the helms manual so you have all of the schematics. My advice would be to make a list of where each wire is going to go before you build the harness, and then make sure every wire is labeled after it is built. I please let me know if you have any questions about supplies or anything let me know... i will see if i can find all of my old notes

I need to find some time to do this too. But I have the pigtails that plug into the screan and brain. I have to complete the rest of the harness. Does anyone know if the wires are there or not?

Good luck with the install. I may end up selling my setup since I don't plan on keeping the car more than another year.

his version is kind of rigged but that is the only way to do it if you dont have the terminal ends already... or you could buy the entire wire harness but i think it is around a thousand dollars and you would have to remove the entire interior of the car including the carpet as it runs up the middle.

I would just go aftermarket, bigger screen, cheaper price and way way way easier to install

So, does anyone have a picture of an aftermaket DVD/NAV system in their CL? I'm thinking about this but can't figure out what it would look like installed.

Definitely true, but then you have the theft/break-in factor and the PITA factor w/ hiding it (or taking it in when you leave the car). Maybe I've just had really bad luck with break-ins, but in the last couple years when I had my Honda Del Sol, I've been screwed royally from break-ins. For a $150 head unit, they did about $1000 in damage getting in--and this happened twice (and that car was stock, so it was really low profile). So if those people saw an aftermarket nav unit in there, you can bet your car will be targeted in a heartbeat. And, of course, you're not only ripped off, but paying 300-500 for your deductible (and if you have a high deductible, then you're screwed)

This is why when I was looking for an '03 6 spd CL to buy, it had to have factory navi. There were some *incredible* 6 spd gems out there (w/o navi) that were a *total* steal, but I have no doubt it was a question of when, not if, the car would be broken into if I added an aftermarket nav system.

So, in short, aftermarket fancy stuff is a recipe for a break-in in this day and age, unfortunately. IMHO, your best path is to sell your current car and pick up a CL with factory navi if you really want it.
