OEM CD Player! HELP!
My cd player won't load or play. Error code one shows up. This happened like a week ago but i kept playing the the cd selector 1-6 to get it to work. Seems when i load anything into slot 1 and jump to slot 6 it gets hung up after hearing the motorized noise. Now its been srewed up for 2 days now. Any ideas what is causing this to occur? There has to been a resoultion other than replacing the radio/cd. Plus how would a after market cd/player look. I noticed we have a double din size radio.

Very common problem... You have to find a trick that works.. For me it was having the car off and turning it to the Acc postition and holding down the Eject button.. That seemed to reset it..
Others said smacking the side of the radio, some said they use a screw driver.. I don't recommend either of those..
Best of luck..

mine did this once, all i did was turn the car on and off and it worked fine. that must have reset something in the radio because turning the radio on and off didn't do anything.

bummer. hope mine never does it.
the only thing i can think to try is removing power from the unit entirely. disconnect the battery. for like 1/2 hour or so. the down side is that you have to re-enter your radio security code and re-set all your radio stations. the intent is to get the unit to re-boot entirely. may work, may not. but its cheaper than a new unit.
lastly, use only CD-R or CD-R/W (don't think this unit will play CD-R/Ws but if it does.....). this way if the CDs stay stuck you haven't lost the master copy. you'll be even more bummed if you have to replace the unit and lose 6 master CDs to boot.
good luck.

I turned on the radio pressed an cd slot 1-6 any one then press eject, then turn off the radio before the error code displays. Then the next morning i put the car in acc mode and the cd ejected and the player was working fine. Go figure? This worked for me. I t won't work if I do it after the error code displays. I have to atleast wait like 2hours. Hope this helps other cuz it helped me.
