Nos...

I'm thinking of getting NOS within the next week or so, and I was wondering what I should get. There are three brands that I know of, and I'm not sure of the difference. There is NOS, Nitrous Works, and Nitrous Express. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a 100 shot. I don't want to get a system that is going to hurt my car in any way. Will you guys please give me some advice on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

100 shot is quite a bit. Here is your welcome into the blown tranny club in advance.

I'd personally go with Zex but out of those choices i'd go with NOS.

Zex makes a good system and a 100 shot will definitely put your ride in the shop. If you're not gonna make any mods to adjust for N2O then go with a 50 shot.

If you go with a 100 shot, you might get to enjoy it for about 10 seconds before your tranny blows. I have a Zex 55 shot on my car & it made a world of difference. Check them out www.zex.com

I think the key to the NOS is not to use it off the line until you gain traction......in that instance...your tranny is already moving...and the extra torque is not putting a lot of extra stress on the tranny.

I have not had a chance to go to the track yet. I don't get out of work until 8pm & the closest track "Moroso Motorsports Park" is in West Palm Beach (about 1 hour 15 min away). That means I wouldn't get there until about 9:30pm. With the track closing at 11pm & almost an hour between runs, I might get 2 runs if I'm lucky. I will probably take a day off & drive up there early when I get some new tires. I don't want to go on the stock rubber because I won't get enough traction for good ET's. I promise will post the times as soon as possible.
