Noooo!!!

I scratched my rim!!! was going to th bakn to get money for my car bra and on the way out I put a 1.5" scratch on the lip of my driver's side rear rim ... I've only had my car for 5 days or so... damn me and my stupidity... I was thinking "iono if I should try this... maybe I should back up" and I went ahead and heard a "SCRATCH!" I guess the only thing to do now is get 19"s ... j/k j/k it's not that noticable but you guys can sympathize with me on just the fact of you knowing th problem is there it bothers you...

Once the first scratch happens, the others that follow are a lot easier to deal with.

Can't believe that happened!

That really sucks man! I've learned that taking chances is a . This happened to my Integra GSR when I first got it...trying to push the car to the limit and make a sharp turn. Apparantly, I oversteered and rubbed the rear passenger wheel across the curb.

With this new car (got my '03 CL-S 6MT on 8/1/03), I am very careful not to park near curbs. At work, I park out there and hog up 2 spaces so nobody parks around me.

Another suggestion, if you don't have to, don't take your car out to those automatic car washes because the rails will really scratch up your wheels!

Try not to think about the scratch, maybe it will go away!

around my way it costs $125 to get the rim re-finished and almost $300 for a new rim (already had one re-finished).

maybe some wider tires would help

Ah yer still on stock tires That's what happens. If you switch to someting else you'll be ok. I have michelin piolet sports and haven't *cross fingers, knock on wood* a scratched rim yet.

I don't think the 03s will scratch as bad as the 01 and 02 style rims. But, I've not seen the 2003 rims in person.

yeah I should get new tires... these are too damn thin for the rims... no wonder I got rim scratch when I ran up against that curb... I jsut barely knicked it too... what does "rim repair" include? I think i'mma do it... actually proly not since I'll just scratch it again and feel like shit...

Thoro,

Might want to give this place a call:

Ye Ole Wheel & Welding Shop
6363 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075
Phone: (410) 796-8400

I've been to damn lazy to call about my wheel.

The Wheel doctor might be good as well.
