I am hearing this "ticking/rattling" noise when my car is at an idle.... i went to my dealer and he said it was just something vibrating internal and that it has happened to others on cold days.... he said it was normal and could be replaced but the new one would do the same thing...

anyone heard of something similar to this?
did i get fed a handfull of B/S?

it is just a ticking sound a idle but if i touch the gas it seems to stop and then pick back up again when the revs go down... it only happens sometimes

so is the dealer right then... nothing they can do to stop the noise?

 

I have been informed that there is a TSB to reseat that module. This may or may not resolve the noise.

I requested that the dealer replace mine. Today, I will know if it would be replaced.

I hear the noise at Idle and CLS is warmed up. It does sound very annoying in $30k car... Others who reported the noise said they can live with it.

I just get a call from the dealer, the Service Rep said they replaced the Canister Purge Valve and it is still making the same ticking noise in reverse and at idle

But what can I do more? :sqnteek:

they tried... the good thing they fixed the dashboard ratlles...

 

AS unfortunate as this may be, it ain't a Ferrari dude, its a HONDA, and they don't give a damn what kinda ticking noises it makes, they just wanna sell those cars...
