Nitrous question (yes, I used search)

I'm thinking about running nitrous. (I can get a killer deal on a setup, that's why) I was courious... What size shot can we run safely on stock motor and transmission? Also, have yous guys heard any horror stories of CL-S' and nitrous? I'd like to know what I'm up against if I'm running it.

BTW, I've used search, and wasn't able to find what I was looking for.

Thanks, guys!

50-shot, give or take.

I think a member runs a 100-shot at the track, but personally, that's a little too much on our glass tranny. I would stay with 50-shot on the streets, and 75-shot at the track.

No known horror stories; one guy had the intake sleeve pop off, but the clamp was loose, apparently.

What kind of a deal are you getting on the nitrous kit? I'm thinking about running one myself soon.

If it's only available to you, then it's cool.

A friend of mine works for Nitrous Works, and he's only able to give the deal to "family" lol. So yeah.

^ you also blew your motor a few weeks ago

i ran a 75 shot on my car for a while w/ no problems. car made 300whp.

we did a days worth of dyno tuning w/ a 100 shot and put down a best of 356 whp. but that was w/ engine management.

I have a 100 shot that makes about 90fwhp at maximum. I use a direct port setup, If you go above 50, you might want to consider a wet setup, however a dry would work for 75 as well. Each setup has its draw backs (ie pooling, not enough fuel)

How do you like your turbo kit? Was it worth the money? Is it better than the S/C that you had? Was it unGodly expensive?

The turbo is great. The transmission from Speed Distributer's crapped out. No wonder they don't sell it anymore or return any of my calls
