NIght @ the Track Prt. 2...
Hello, Its me again. If you can remember 2 weeks ago when i went to the track and ran 17's with my 18'' IRON WHEELS, i went last night with stock wheels. I did not get the times i wanted, but i improved some.
-Here is the best time slip from 2 weeks ago.(18''Giovanna Coriscas)
Car# ... 97
Class ...
Dial ...
R/T ... .677
60' ... 2.481
330 ... 7.268
1/8 ... 11.141
MPH ... 64.07
1000 ... 14.441
1/4 ... 17.249
MPH ... 80.34
As you can see, thats a little bit embarrasing. I know i was going to post slips a while ago, but i figured i would wait until i raced with the stocks back on.
-Here is the best out of last nights(stock wheels) time slips.
Car# ... 38

1000 ... 13.462
1/4 ... 16.076
MPH ... n/a
For some reason there wasn't MPH posted on this particular time slip, there was on the rest but not on this one. For 1/4 speeds on the rest of them , they were usually around 85-86ish. All in all, the performance out of my car isn't what it should be. Maybe its not the car, maybe its me,i launch with different methods getting no tire spin, then maybe its the shitty conditions here in Hot and Humid Florida. There ya go.

Yes definately check out your car. It's not running how its supposed to. Did you check to see if your actuator is working?

OK, good that you went back to base line (the stock tires and rims).
If you are at a "reasonable" temp 60 - 85 degrees F *and* you have a stock CLS in good working order (no problems -- like the IMRC), you should run at least a 15.2 in the quarter.
If you weigh 350 lbs and had a full tank and put in a 400 lb sound system, I could understand, but if you are really running a "stock" car, and it is getting the times you a reporting, you need to get the car to a dealer.
If would also help your "cause" to get to a dyno operator that someone can recommend to you.
If you are NOT getting somewhere near 200HP to the front wheels, it is time for some serious trouble shooting at the dealer.
You are not getting your money's worth -- you deserve better!
(At least the wheel theory seems to be playing out correctly...)
I did check out the NHRA calculator, and if your IMRC actuator was NOT working, you would put out about 175 HP to the front wheels and I can get a 16 second 1/4 mile time if you are running a full tank and need to loose a few pounds.

Something sounds fishy...plus you got the AEM CAI! You need to make sure your actuator is working! Sounds like it's not...hopefully it's not with those times!
Your dealer will replace it for free if it's not working, you'll feel the difference afterwards!

Bro your car has problems.. I ran mine with just aem cai and pulleys and densos and ran 15.07 in 78 degree weather.
Check the actuator then take it to the dealership. Also did you do your runs with the VSA off?

i weigh about 218 lbs. i had a qtr tank when i started running. i have no system installed right now. I had my friend check out this site and read about imrc and all that bs(thanks for the info and MSPAINT diagram NOVAwhiteTypeS ) and he checked it for me and i went to his house and he said that it wasn't opening up. he ssaid he would open it with his hand but, when RPM's reached 3800-4500 nothing happened. He was worried about the fans too, but he had me rev it up again, and he saw them turn on @ a certain RPM too.. soo monday i will call ACURA and have them fix my actuator. Im really glad that was the problem and not something worse. Thanks for all the input

You car definately has issue. My measly CL-P ran faster with a passenger, AC on, and 108 degree AZ heat. I belive the 1/4 mile speed was around 92 if I recall.
