springs, help me decide...

http://www.autocarparts.com/search/r...subcat=Springs

heres a link to a few manufacturers that deal with springs and the products that they offer. Im looking for the lowest possible drop at the lowest possible cost. does anyone have the eibach sportline springs or know anything about them? were new struts needed or anything? anyone have any pics as well? id appreciate it. thanx a lot.

You can do a search on this site to find more info. I got the Comptechs - no sways or struts, etc. - and am real happy with them. Drop is 2" front, 1.5" rear, so the car seems more balanced in hard corners, less understeer and nice 4-wheel drift when it does slide. I think the lower drop in front helps with the balance.

good luck,
kevin

depends on what you want.
If you want the back and front to drop evenly get the H&R,
if you want the front to be slighlty lower then go for the comptech.

yesturday i saw the H&R springs for the first time in person on a type S and it looked pretty good.

but alot more people here have comptechs.

it up to u .

I think I like the Comptech look slightly more, but I don't know if I'll do springs at all right now. I definitely want the Comptech sways though.

I just think I might get wheels/tires eventually, and if I do, I'd like to see them on the stock suspension first and then decide if I want to lower it with Comptech or H&R springs.

Besides, the stock settings leave a wider selection of wheels and tires available, right?

I was going to get the H&R spring, but after I saw Synth19, and AcuraCrazy's rides, I might go Comptech. The ride was not that bad. I would like to see pics comapring the 2. Too bad I cant drive both, to see, and feel the difference.

cheapest... and lowest... i would think the H&R race springs would be best. of course... when you go that low... a camber kit will be necessary as you also have to think about the car being hard to drive after (speedbumps, etc)

good luck
