Next Mod Question

Here is what I have so far, looking for the next power mod to do:

Intake, Headers, Plenums, Spacers, High-Flow Cat, Exhaust, underdrive crank pulley

That said, I have an Apexi Neo, with recent reports of the ecu overriding it, I will have to put the tuning on hold. I am thinking of sending out the throttle body to get bored out, but I need to find a time I can go without the CL. Also, I'd like to stay N/A.

you can either go the bored out tb, and also 3.5/7 route...but other than that your gonna have to be happy with what you have on so far which is a lot.

Type-S or CL-P???

There is still power to be made in the intake manifold. Port and polish that along with the lower runners, and tb should free up some ponies. Running a cooler engine can get you some ponies too. There are the mugen t-stat and fan switch. Larger radiator & fans while your at it. Also someone on here had a water methanol injection kit with good results. You could stroke your motor to 3.5. Just drop in mdx/odyssey crank and RL pistons. Sounds easy right. You could also upgrade your motor mounts to put more of the power you have now to the ground. It will make the car go faster, trust me.

I have some similar mods, and would like to know how did you like the plenums? What was the increase in power like. And the pulley?

I don't really have any pictures of my CL, it is looks like a standard CL-S with H&R drop. Where in Philly are you from?

I doubt I will go for the 3.5 conversion, my car has 100k miles on it, I have had it for 5 years. I will keep the CL as a year round car and get another car to complement it. As far as the cooling mods go, lately I have read that with an N/A engine, there is no real need for them. Most likely I will bore out the throttle body since I read it complements the plenums pretty well. I just can't remove my throttle body and be without a car. I want to upgrade the mounts but I not anytime soon. At least not until they work out the issues.

If I had a choice between the plenums and pulley, I would choose the pulley every time. It has been one of my favorite mods, there is a an increase in power, but I love how fast the car revved up the most. would do the plenum last, I felt minimal gains without a tune and a bored out tb. Not to mention they were $600!

Yup, thats what I figured. Plenums really work best when complementing all the other little mods, and a tune. I think I will be getting the pulley next, then finally work on my suspension. Thanks for your opinion.
