not too familiar with coilovers either....do they work in conjunction with the original springs or do they replace both springs and shocks?

The latter. Whereas you're "getting" a spring/shock combo to work together, the coilover (a true coilover not like a Weapon-R or a Ground Control which is essentially a sleeve that you put over an aftermarket shock) was *designed* with the shock/spring in mind.

Do you have pictures of a CL or TL with Nex's installed? I don't want too low of a drop. Also, I'm assuming they fit the TL-S correct?

Yeah yeah, lemme rephrase my question. Does anybody have a picture of a TL/CL with Nex coilovers at highest height?

Oh yeah, are the SS or SR coilovers and do they come with upper mounts or do they use stock mounts?

pm DONTL on the tl board...
he had them on his car...

I talked with the Golden Apple guys at SEMA... The coilover is made for the Accord V6...

According to them the ride might be a little rough b/c these are their race coilovers... but ride is all subjective anyways...

It's good deal either way...

my mistake...

at the time golden apple was only offering the SR nex coilovers...
which were the race ones...

but according to their website I guess they are offering the nex SS street version too now... so the ride should be softer than a race coilover.

Car Magazine Article on Coilovers

One of this months Car Magazines--I can't remeber which--has a Huge informational piece on all the different Coilovers. Look through this months "speciality" Car Mags. You'll find it.

Which is better the NEX or the Zeal B6. And is the group buy for the spec race or the spec street, I cant find any documentation on the difference between the two.

Re: mUgEn Exhaust

I'm loving the exhaust. I love the way it looks. I still need to take it in and get it fit. The sound is almost like stock, which was something I wanted. Maybe you hear a little grunt when you gun it. As far as performance. I dynoed the car and got 3hp, and 3tq throughout the whole rpm range, which was surprising.

Is the group buy for the SS, SR, or either coilover? Does anyone know how they compare to the Apex'i kit? Also, does this price include the upper mounts?

I'm pretty sure they dont include upper mounts...you just re-use the stock ones. It is not as good as a Zeal for the simple fact that dampening is not adjustable. Spring rates from every manufacturer is different so ride is subjective. I would assume these are the SS...because nobody buys race springs anymore...most peoples spines cant handle it for very long...

Any idea anyone?

I believe they can be above stock height to about slammed to the ground.....not able to move your car hydraulics-type action...
The threading on the coilovers is about half the strut. So, basically any height you want.

Well...let me correct myself by saying that they do include upper mounts...not pillow ones though...

Did I mention that I can hook you guys up on ADR wheels too...about $150/rim + shipping...most of them...I would have to check to make sure...but just letting y'all know..

That is a killer deal for those coilovers. You can't find a set for true coilovers that cheap anywhere. If I was still working on the cl i'd pick these up in a heartbeat.

BTW, I've ridden in a car with the NEX coilovers and the ride is awesome. Much better than shitty Ground Control's.

How is the nex coilovers compared to the Apexi coilovers? Because I am sort of interested.

Okay...here's the deal...no credit cards....money order, check, or paypal direct...not credit cards thru paypal. When I have received payment...I'll ship them out.
Cool. Hatemystocks...we can meet up sometime and save on shipping charges. All other Bay Area folks...we can do the same thing.

Slim

the differences are the gases and spring rates that Nex uses.

All in all probably about the same.. The feeling of the coilover is subjective.

The one thing that nex has over the apexis is that fact that it has the upper pillow mount.

That is what I am planning to do. And I told myself that I won't fix up this car. But after looking at other CLS w/ mods. I can help myself anymore.
