Newbie question

Hey all...just picked up my 2003 type s 6 speed!
WOW! I love it.
Traded my MDX...best move I made.

I'm sure I will be asking lots of questions as they come up,
here is the first...

Is the clock not illuminated? Cant see it in the dark...
Dealer says no...I wanted to ask some folks that know.

Thanks

One thing I never noticed or cared about, but I think it does light up. I believe there was a post where someone said pound on the dash till it lights up again.

You shouldn't care about the time in the car, I figured I had spent 35 days straight if I averaged 50mph while in the car. That was in the first year, which has increased since then.

Congrats on the car, Welcome

Welcome aboard

The clock should absolutely light up! My light actually went out and the dealer replaced it under warranty while I had it in for the 30k mile service.

The dealer told me because it is a type s, only the gauges you need to see light up. What a crock!

On my way to the dealer.......

That is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Ask them why the radio lights up then? Becuase you don't really need to see that. Then tell them you want the clock out of a CL-P

BTW I have an 03 CL-S and mine absolutely LIGHTS UP.

I agree with all you have said. I'm an old time gear head and mechanic and knew it was a crock of crap.
This is also the only dealer around...usually pretty good, but sometimes you get a person who doesnt care.

My MDX was an 02...long story why I had to get rid of it...
you can only imagine...
but very happy about the trade. Love my new ride!!

The clock only lights up when you have the lights on. Otherwise it's dark.

Actually I think the clock backlight is dimmed when you turn on the lights. Without the lights, it is brightest.

I haven't the foggyest idea if my clock lights up or not
