Newbie needs some reassurance

Bought a 03 CL-s 6spd w/ 10k miles on it for 21k last week. No nav but it seemed like a good deal none the less. Any pitfalls i should know about in the 03? i know the auto tranny has been an issue on some recent CL's but what about the manual?

Let me be the first to say congrats and welcome. Also I'm a bit jeolous that you have a 6 speed. There are a lot less problems with the manual tranny. You should be OK.

So, enjoy. And post some pics of your new ride.

Enjoy it!

Search these forums for more-or-less sporadic issues with the 6MT -- there are no major global issues to worry about (apart from the usual Acurazine rants about paint quality, rattles, etc).

Welcome!

Welcome and congrats. Good choice!!! There have been very few problems reported that are specific for the 6MT. You will need to get use to the clutch if you haven't already. Have you thought about mods yet???

Hey, that makes two CL-S 6-speeds purchased in Virginia in the past week! I think you should feel great that you got one with so few miles!

Did you, in fact, purchase it in The Old Dominion? I'm in Richmond, myself.

What is your interior/exterior combination? I was shocked when I read the well-researched numbers, showing how few 6-speeds were made.

Welcome to the forum.

The price sounds great. There's not much to worry about on the 03 6spds. Hopefully the last owner got all the bugs worked out for you (rattles, etc.)

Congrats on the purchase. You already answered your question. The only major problem is the auto tranny and you have a manual.

RE:03' CL 6spd

thanks for the responses.I purchased it at a passport nissan in Alexandria. Satin Silver with Ebony interior. Was shocked at the low miles. Looking to add a new intake off the bat but haven't researched enough on other aftermarket mods. The clutch takes a little to get used to but i think i got it down now.

You will get used to the clutch. If you are looking for an intake, check out the comptech Icebox. Ohh yeah, congradulations on your purchase.
