New Trans is in...

Got the car back today. Crown ACURA only had it for 3.5 days.
News trans and installed my Trans Cooler for only $78.00!
The high point of the experience was returning the loaner slushbox RSX and crawling back into my Type S. ...WOW a whole different Animal. Anyway she shifts like new again!

Do you notice any difference in the tranny? Does it pull harder, shift smoother?

And did they replace the ECU?

I can tell you it is weird, my second tranny was really weird, shifted harder and it seemed like it would get shift wrong , especially when you punched it , it would really slam hard into gears and do stupid stuff. Almost like the ECU was out of whack , then it died 10K miles later and my third tranny now is super, it shift like the car did brand new, even when you punch it , it knows what to do , I dont see that they replaced the ECU on the service ticket though . it is weird.

New ECU with every new trans I am told by the mechanic.
The shifting seems right on the money, no hesitation... firm but not wacky. (In Drive 4 and 5).
SS still chips my 18" toyo proxes 1st to second. Third not yet..but he said give it a few days with the new ECU.
Trying to be nice to it for a day or 2..LOL

my first tranny(original) shifted hard and chirped in second most of the time. It actually lunged forward right before the shift, real aggressive. I kinda liked it. My second tranny shifts alot more smoothly and its less dramatic, I kinda feel a slight loss of power even though the speedo seems to show the same speed at the same locations on the street. I hope the car isn't slower than it was since the tranny swap.
