New to the site and need a new Acura!!!
Hey everyone, I am new to the site. I just had to sell my '05 TL due to some huge college loans that I have to start paying and I am now interested in a second generation CL Type S. It was extremely difficult for me to sell my TL, but I can't wait to get back into another Acura. I have always been a fan of the site and I have learned a lot from it.
What do you think is a reasonable price to pay for an '01 CL Type S with under 70,000 miles?

I was going to say the same thing...

HEYYYY what's up Amar. I never new you had a TL. We'll have to go for a ride some time.
If anyone sees anything worth while in the CT area, let me know. I'm going to try to wait out until the summer to make sure the weather stays nice to pick one up.

Also, I wouldn't mind picking one up in that burnt orange metallic color. Anyone know what that color is called?

the reason i said to "stay away" is to hold out and find another, recently they've been easier to get with people selling theirs, IMO i would try and just go for the 6 spd, if you only have 2 auto cl's to choose from and one has already the new tranny with the tweaked ecu and one with original factory, i would stay away and go with the new tranny, i understand that it's not a gurantee that the new one wont slip, or that the original one wont go, but the numbers would be in your favor,

If you want an auto, go for it. Worst case scenario is that it ends up having problems and you get it replaced under warranty (I think you have upto 107,000 miles for the warranty on the tranny). I paid $12,000 for an '01 CL-S A/T with 59,000 miles. I'd say offer $12,500 for the 47k one and take it even if he doesn't budge below $13,000, it's still a good deal, especially in the Tri-State area.
