august motor trend says the s4 will have the 4.2 v8.......370hp.....................within 2 yrs a news rs4 will be here with the 4.2 biturbo producing 450hp ................when will acura get there heads out of there ass and produce cars like this

 

The RS6 is coming sooner with that engine, yeehaaaa.

 

The next S4 is something that I am intersted in. In addtion, I am eyeing the next Volvo 60R (300HP,AWD).. Maybe Saab 3X too...(300HP, AWD too!)

But the S4 looks damn nice to me! I do not seem Acura doing anything that can compete with those bad boys..

 

IZ called IMA and ATTS foo! Saab/volvo come on man the didn't sell as many cars COMBINED as acura sold MDXs and TLs.

 

Stay away from Saaaaaaaaaaabs, the Volvo might be nice, but how can you even consider it when there's an S4 with 70 more hp?

 

DNX will be a $100K car not around $40K-$50K..

Just look at the RS6 it owns the shit outa the NSX.... maybe the DNX might have a chance to compete but at $100k, you can have the RS6, in addtion, to your nice CL-S!!!

Also the RS4 with 450 HP on the S4 would be SICK!... That thing would fly like a Ninja... ( The ZX-12R , I mean )

 

wow...that's pretty interesting...it seems 2 things are going on here...

1. Audi is trying to distinguish itself away from VW by focussing a lot more on sport these days, which i like ...interior could use a little work since it's the same dating back to the stone age

2. make no mistake, muscle cars are BACK!!! just not yer every day American muscle...it's a 60's/70's throwback with a new milenium twist hehe

so wait, about the new S4, what should be the price range?

 

RS6 is probably going to be in the high 80K so it won't be cheap! This car is being made to compete with M5s and E55 AMGs, which all bring a hefty price tag. New S4 will probably be in the 50-60k range also.

How does the RS6 own the NSX? Hp? It has about 150+ horepower and god knows how much torque yet seems to only get similar performance numbers. Handling? I'll let the experts debate this one but I always thought the NSX was one of the best handling cars around.

Nonetheless I would love to get my hands on an RS6 though!

The NSX is one of the best handling cars around. Period. As for how it keeps up with the RS6 with less HP, the answer is weight. The NSX (even at it's age) is still ahead of the curve in architecture and design from a weight perspective. The RS6 is a great car, but suffers from sharing the platform with mainstream sedans and carring all the weight around.

The new S4 (avail as a 2004 model, I think) will be awesome, but pricey. High $40s base, mid $50s plus whatever premium is on em to start.

As far as the current Audi interiors, I'm a fan. I have an A6 and just got rid of a 99 A4. The current A6 (and new A4) interiors are great. Very well done, IMHO.

audi needs to improve their tail lights... they look ass...

they need the crazy mirrors inside like ours

or LED's in the tails like the benz CL... which has the hottest tails.

 

for some reason, those rims look like a cross between our '01/'02 rims and the new Stang GT's/Bullit's...dunno y, they just remind me of them

 

Holy Crap, that is THE car. Love those fender bulges, very aggressive. By the way, the only tranny available is the Tiptronic.
