New Rotors

These took way too long to arrive but they finally did. I'm putting them on this weekend. How does everyone feel about painting callipers? I figure if I'm gonna get rid of the bare rusty metal look might as well complete the job. Opinions on color of calipers

depends on what color car you have. i always like the bronze color brembo's that come on the g35c manual. ^^

I'd just paint the calipers black. Our calipers are pretty ugly painted or un-painted. Just paint them black so they blend in.

I put this same set up on my car,, you will be happy... axxis give off a lot of dust but the braking is worth it.. you don't have to turn the rear rotors,, they won't need it

Pics don't work; I don't think you should paint your calipers but if you must I'd go with black.

Sorry about the pictures, myimgs allows less than a meg. I thought black would be a good neutral color to go with.
I got the brakes through a friend who's a performance dealer. 365 for rotors and pads. Still got so much more to do, header or teins are next.

I payed $365 for rotors and pads shipped, price would be about

That's front & rear? with pads for both? I went to stoptech's website & they didn't have rear pads what pads are those? Also the site says the fronts are for accord V6's with manual tranny. Does the CL use the same brake rotors as that car?
Where did you get them cheaper?

Front & rear rotors, front & rear pads. Works out to about 20% less than retail with no shipping. I don't know the exact weight, but I can weigh them tomorrow while I install them. The fronts are considerably heavier than the rear. At this point I am more concerned with longevity and performance than weight. I am tired of warped rotors!

Front Rotors are: Item No. 50-40046-101 (right) Item No. 50-40046-102 (left)

I got my front and rear slotted Rotora rotors from www.streetbeatcustoms.

Total cost for front and back was about $302 (free shipping). I also ordered the silver caliper paint from them.

Ordered the Axxis Deluxe Plus pads from Brakewarehouse.com for approx. $67. They were rated better than the Metal Masters and generate less dust, last longer and are more rotor friendly.

Good setup! IMHO, I've used Motul 5.1 brake fluid in the past and have loved it. Fully synthetic, and used in NASCAR. If you really want a good high boiling point and increase water repulsion (couldn't think of the word) any synthetic DOT 5.1 is the way to go.

wow i my dad should listened to me about a month ago i wanted to get slotted rotors, and he said no factory are better, im like no there but ne ways he paid 220 for front stock ones POS. but the axxis pads which ordered are great

I put them on today. It is so nice to stop without vibration. What an easy install. The hardest part was jacking up the car. I dont notice more stopping power, but the smooth stopping is a dream. To anyone thinking about paying to have this done save your money, an impact driver may be the only special tool needed.
