New owner question
New owner question
Is there a limit on speed like 55mph during the break-in period. Didn't see it in the owners manual, only flooring it and hard braking. Also when I set the memory for the seat the green light seems to stay on when I;m finished putting it into memory. Can't wait till the breakin period is over, have 110 miles so far. Maybe another week or so.
1. The owner's manual is "king" according to Acura Care. (This is the final word, not the salesperson or some dealers.)
2. There is no speed limit for break in.
You should vary your speeds during the 1st 600 miles (no, that is not in the manual).
you should even be able to go to rather high rpms, if you don't stomp on it. Just treat it easy and move the SS around to keep the revs moving all over the place.
Try not to stomp on it until the 600 miles is up (unless your running for your life, etc).
Unless I'm missing something, the green light on the memory, lets you know which current memory setting is in use. If it is green, it means that you are using the current memory setting you set. If you move the seat, you should see the light go out (provided you don't reset the memory to this new position.)
(It is late, so I didn't go out to the car to check, but I'm pretty sure I got it right. If not, you will hear about it from someone else.)
Enjoy your ride.
