Lookin' good! So you think you actually got some gains out of them per your butt dyno?

It been proven by a real dyno that exhaust on our cars don't give any gains unless your forced induction.

And yeah, pic don't work.

and i agree w/ mclaren - exhaust gains are minimal to none -- i don't think you actually dynoed your car.

3-5 hp is pretty much impossible to measure on a dyno as there is a small variance between runs, even when back to back. And 3-5hp is not even noticiable.

It's 2 whp people, you can do that by taking out one of the seats ... The OEM exhaust on the Type-S is so low restriction, that anything aftermarket is purely for looks and sound, unless your going forced induction (as Mclaren said).
Now if you had a CL-P, you would have more of a gain than putting them on a Type-S.

looks good though.

"cur" Please tell me that someone stole the other letters or they just fell off, or a friend needed it to have and an "A" shaved into their head.

Looks good professional install, nice, im sure it sounds great too, but I have to agree with everyone else, it could be mental, cause once we add a mod to our cars we tend to step that pedal a bit harder than we usually do just to see, I mean I thought my car was faster when I added my new HU in it guess it was the music I had pumpin. If it feels faster to you, then money well spent, stay away from speeding tickets...

The feeling faster part is usually in your head b/c you want it to be faster, unless ofcoarse you just added headers or stepped up to a SC. But either way looks really good HKS right? I've always like the look of those better then my Comptechs

Damn Andy!! Is there anything about the CL-S that you don't know?? You are totally pimp when it comes to Acura knowledge. I need to keep my butt out of "ramblings" and stay here and learn more about my car.....

i know we don't get any gains from aftermarkets. so i'm thinking of getting CT axlebacks. which other AB exhausts do you guys use or recommend?

that's a nice looking pair of muff lers. what are they anyhow? and do yourself a favor and take those letters off your trunk.

WE installed a Mugen system dynoed before and after 4HP gain
We installed Comptech on my car dynoed before and after 3.9Hp
we then istalled headersComptech on my car 16HP gain
we installed intake Comptech on my car 7.1hp gain
We installed V-Tech controller on my car 3HP gain
All items were dynoed before and after.
Total gain 30HP 10.1gain torque

I thought ct headers give you more like 30hp gain...?

It depends how you interpret the dyno that DT provides. The CT headers give you a maximum gain of 32 hp, but a peak gain of 24. And then there are plenty of little tricks to try and boost dyno numbers.

Still, 17-20 whp out of shorty headers is not bad.

i like them... you know what sux tho... i never felt the gain from my headers cuz i had to bring my car to the shop for like 1 month and when i got it back they also put the headers on...so i spent 1 month driving a dodge neon and when i got mine back i was expecting it to be faster but i didnt remember how much faster it had gotten from the headers...ugh i was depressed because i didnt get to feel the actual gain!! anyway i just ordered the magna flow muffler 14832 i think so i should have some pics with those (ebay $85 each with free shipping)
