Thumbs up New Motor is IN!!!

I have the HBP and dynoed at 331 whp and 298 wtq.

a/f is a steady 10.5 to 11.8 at redline. I am getting pinging/detonation around 6,000 rpm to redline. my static fp is set to 65 and with 20in vac i am at 35 psi.

I did get a flashing cel one time when getting on it, and have not got on it since.

I guess its time for an emanage ultimate and tuning. any other suggestion to get it right ths time?

Disconnect the IMRC til you get it tuned. No sense in risking frying more piston rings. And I don't think anyone successfully tuned the Ultimate. Just go with the blue unit.

glad to see you didn't give up, HBP must be impossible to hook up. BTW, CEL light when over revving or wheel hop is common, as long as it doesn't stay on.

Good job and nice numbers. Those numbers are getting close to mine. I so need to get mine tuned. Hopefully that 6 speed allows you to hook up at the track better than my auto. I know I have to feather it alot to get it to hook.

Are you running very lean at high rpm? Maybe you can change the air/fuel to increase the fuel mixture...

Im not running lean, about 11.8, but i an still hear it pinging.

i did get scared when i saw 13.5 a/f last nite at about 6500 rpm at wot. when i pulled off the highway the vacuum hose for the fpr came undone, so i went and got a longer one. no more of that now.

Nice numbers.

Is this a new or used motor? If new, I would take it easy and break it in properly.

I got the flashing check engine light tonight as well. It blinked 5 times. Anyone know what cause it to blink? Misfire perhaps?

Btw, bad ass!

Nice numbers! If you get it done up right and control the detonation I will come meet you in Dallas. We can put my HBP on and then I'll blow your doors off. Im too big of a pus to try the emanage and tune by myself.

It couldnt really give a crap about racing. But in the spirit of things I got to run my mouth for a second. I have all the mods except, at tune, emanage, and HBP. I dont even have a fuel pressure or A/F gauge yet. I dont drive it much though. It would be nice to have someone close get it all done right and then come up and get some help with the tune. My best friend and his wife live in Dallas so it would be fun. I can get the gauges installed and the emange ready myself if you wanted to help with tuning it.

not saying you're lying, but when you said the car pull 331whp and 298wtq and "the sheet flew out the window cruising down the hwy..." sorry, i won't buy that, unless you show the dyno chart (which can be done by contacting the dyno shop and get it e-mailed to you) so, 'till then...

definately. only thing that scares me now is that I get a flashing cel light (random misfire) when i get on it hard in the 6000rpm and over.

this has happened twice already. my a/f around redline is 12.5. im not comfortable with that number and perhaps that why I get a misfire every now and then. my a/f below i 10 flat to about 5rpm, then it starts leaning out

if you are still getting pinging around 11A/f my thoughts are that one of your injectors may be failing your fuel VOLUME is not enough because of a clogged filter or failing pump.
