New mod in the mail! pics, and my battery died. need help.
Just came home to find this sitting in my kitchen!
will attempt to install myself over the weekend. i'll update you guys on the install with lots of pics in this thread later. any advice? I did the headers and intake myself so i know my way around our car a little. and I got a Helms:P
Also, my battery fucken died when I took my wife out to a restaurant last night. Luckily I always carry good jumpers in my spare tire well. I had to shoot 5 weddings today on the other side of the island, so I had to drive my car today with the dead battery. So I went to Kmart and bought one of those cheapy booster packs with the little battery inside. worked great. so now, what kind of battery should I buy? whats good?
Thanks guys

i think you can do the install no problem.
make sure and post a review when you're done.

Also, I don't know why the battery died in the first place! my car is barely a year old! I noticed the car had trouble for a few days but didn't think anything of it. is it the battery or the charging system? and I gotta shoot 4 weddings tomorrow so no time to take it in.
but I am stoked about the sways!

I have no faith in most OEM batteries beyond 2-3 years, but within 1 year in temperate Hawaii seems a bit abnormal.
I'd probably take it into Acura (or even PepBoys/Sears/AutoZone can check) and have them do a quick check on the charging system before the new battery purchase. Early battery failure makes me think electrical problems or bad alternator. Do you have an aftermarket stereo or other electronics in the car?
I cannot recall if our battery has a prorated guarantee--if it does, you may have $10 coming to you for early failure. Woo Hoo...
As for brand of aftermarket batteries -- for general use, all the major brands are pretty good and will surpass the CCA and longevity of the OEM battery.

Ah, if those were availbe 3 years, I would got those. They look great. I am sure they will perform as good or may maybe better than Comptech.
I hope you do not pay anything far away north $250 for those bars.

Thanks guys! I'll post pics and install info here after the install. I've been turning really hard lately when I drive so hopefully the difference would be more obvious.
