New M-B S-Class

The S-class will be face-lifted this fall. Nothing major, except for the optional awd system (4matic). The rear taillights are fugly. The interior will feature better quality materials. The article claims the engines will carry over, but I wonder about the 4.3 V8. M-B pushed the E430 and ML430 to the 500 so you would think M-B was phasing out that engine. Why keep the S430? I would rather take an E500 then the wannabe flagship (s430). Oh well...

S430's are quite popular in Europe though, aren't they?

I think MB try to keep that family resembling of Maybach...I wonder if they have LED rear turn signal with new taillight design.... looks like they have send Gen COMAND(Navi) in there, too.....

P.S. Those Fugly rims are std on S600.... which I assume what it is in the first 2 pics..... S600 and S55 has expose exhaust pipe.... but since S55 has body kit std, it must be an S600...

Umm, I would have to disagree, I think that MB have extremly nice and beautifuly laid out interiors, a lot nicer, although less sporty than our Acura interiors. Those interiors are really built tough, my friends dad had one and that thing got abused and still looked really good after 5 years and 250k miles. Just my $0.02

Maybe it's the crappy wheel and tire package, or the quality of those pics, but it almost looks like they took a step back with that car. I know they didn't change much, but it actually looks older than my mom's friend's S430. It has to be the wheels.
