new to lowering, questions

i want to lower my 03 cls about 1.5 front and rear, will i need a camber kit, i was thinking of doin the whole setup at once and never having to change the shocks later, are there shocks that i can get that will lower the car 1.5 by itself and keep the stock springs, is there such shocks that will let u lower up to 1.5??? planning not to spend more than $400 including labor, also i heard eibach springs give you a smoother ride than stock - is this correct?? if i get just the eibach's will i need to get new shocks later since they arent as stiff?? Just want to lower the car a little while being smooth.

First off. Its a gamble with your camber needing to be adjusted if you lower it 1.5". For most people they didn't need a camber kit and for a few they did. After you get your car lowered get an alighnment and go from there.
There are no shocks that will drop your ride 1.5" You need to change your springs.
Also, IMO Eibachs suck ass. The ride so bouncy. H&R sport springs seem to be the choice as well as the Comptech Springs. I would go with either of those two.
Total, you probably won't sepnd more than 280 to lower your car. If you can find a good deal springs will run u at most 185 and installation labor about 75 depending on the shop.

sounds to me like you should run comptech springs. they lower to about an inch and a half up front and slightly less in the rear. the spring rate is increased slightly over stock and you can use the stock shocks w/o the need for a camber correcting kit. imo, aftermarket springs accelerate the wear on the stock shocks so you have to replace them later on down the road. the ride is close to stock with a notable increase in stiffness.

oh and for a good price on comptech springs, contact member deansblackcls.
