New idle problem

I just had my tranny replaced and after the install, as soon as I got the car back I noticed that my idle drops every other second and the car barely stays running. They did replace the torque converter too under warranty. I'm wondering if they didn't adjust the TC properly and it's not dis-engaging, or if they screwed something up in the install.

I'm going back to the dealer shortly so if you have any input please let me know. Thanks all

they might have forgot to hook somehting back up, or screwed up when they replaced the computer program.

I just got back from the dealer- "It has to do with the coolant system for the transmission, getting air bubbles in the lines during the install. The air bubble lodges in the oil sensor causing a mis-read. It eventually works it's way free and the trouble dissapears. We will make a note of it and if the problem persists we will persue it."

I think it's a torque converter issue that is not dis-engaging properly at idle. I will have to investigate further.

I have to say that the problem is now intermittant and I didn't notice it the last time I drove the car other than one time at a stop light.

Might just be the idle-learn process happening after the battery was re-connected.

Funny you say that, a friend just said the same thing tonight. How many miles should it take for the learn process to occur? I have about 400 miles on it already since Saturday and it's still doing it.

Any other thoughts?
