Noooooooooo ........ the "color temp" is hotter then the sun... more blue then yellow... like stars... red dwarfs are coldest .. orange/yellow like ours hotter ... blue SUPER HOT ... its not the actual temp
given off LOL they have a killer blue hue much like when ours are first powered up... but they stay that color

I would think that our HID's are at least or a higher kelvin than 6000?? The lower the # the more yellow it is the higher the more blue. Does anyone know what kelvin are HID's burn at?

Humm by that grapf it seems that after 5000k the color is starting to turn red. I know with aquarium bulbs they have some that are real blue with a higher kelven than 5k??

Not yours redline...rods.

How is it the other way around? On yours at 6k its blue and at 3k its yellow.

Yeah, that's wierd. Maybe it's just a mistake.

But they're both yellow at 3K.

His graf is more generalized so u cant se the spectrum break down.. it goes from orange wavelengths(cold) to violet{hottest) These are color temps not actual temps ...

BUT does anyone know where I can get em?

Dont get it...o well different people..different graphs.

All I know is I am probably not going to change my lights because just theother night I got pulled ovewr by a PIG. That dumb MF gave me a hard time about my headlights being "blue"! That prick pulled out the laws book and showed me where it said you headlights cant be blue thay must be white refering to thoes people with hondas and trucks that change there bulbs. He then said "see my lights...they are wight"! I told him "mine are white....his yours yellow" . I wish you could have seen the look on that dip shits face when he help a sheet of paper in front of my lights and it almost blinded him cuz it was so white! He had no clue what HID were and he said he was going to call the dealer and ask them if I was telling the truth or not! F%#*en prick wasted 30 min of my time!

now ya see why I NEED to find em?? LOL this iz wat the toolz at auto-lamps-online emailed me ... I asked if the onez they advertized were Philips and how they thought the D2S would react on a D2R headlamp housing in our car..... I think he means D2S were on backordered 42 weeks??

The Philips Ultinons/cool power xenons ready week 42 are D2S, we cannot confirm the delivery date for D2R at this present time, sorry, they are in great demand and as they are handmade they are sold as quickly as they are made. I will pass your specific question regarding the result of using a D2S in your application to our technical team, and contact you again as soon as they given me the answer.
Thank you for your enquiry to Autolamps-online

I would say anywhere they currently sell the Philips Blue Vision, might get the new bulbs as well..

It won't take long before that stuff makes it to the States.. probably in LA first..

It's not all about brightness when it comes to color temp.. it's about color shade.. 7K would probably be very blue.. but in terms of brightness, that also depends on the wattage..

Yeah.. 7K is pretty deep into violet.. actually too deep into violet isnt better visibility it just throws more color to be seen by police that looks to far from standard HID ... we have probs already with w/cops the blue when first lit up....

dang..6000K..just bulbs? wouldn't it be necessary to install some sort of special wiring? (i know a couple of people that already have holes burning through the sockets from just the "ice blue" bulbs)

These are low beam replacements for your HID bulbs that are hotter NOT roadlamp bulbs these would melt your roadlamps and prolly your bumbers there if you put a ballast on them lol

Autolamps-online does sell 6000K replacement bulbs (for $175 each!) but they’re not the Ultinons, which supposedly are currently sold in Japan only.

Suvlights.com have 6000K bulbs (at least I read a post on another forum that they did). They're not listed on their web page but they said to e-mail them at suvlights@yahoo.com for more info.
