New fuel pump is in :D

The only thing I can say is, "what a difference." The car pulls like crazy now .
I have installed my pump and fuel lines and I am still using the Comptech fpr with my setup.

The difference is everywhere through out the rev range. At low rpm's my car pulls hard, like a 740iL, this pull increases and continues all the way to red line. The pinging that I had to subdue with octane booster, with the old Comptech pump, is nowhere to be found now .

There are a couple of draw backs though. I go through fuel like crazy, and at 1/4 tank the car start hickuping (the pump moves so much fuel that the tank needs to be kept at least half full).

Next week I'll install the injectors

Anyone running FI/E-Manage with more than 3 psi boost should look into this.

Was the pump easy to install yourself?

Talking

Overall, I completed the install in one afternoon, fortunatley I didn't blow myself up (there were a couple of times it could have happened). The most tedious things were the wiring and plumbing the fpr.

Pics? My trunk looks like a mechanical nightmare right now , I'll get some pics later. The AN fittings look tight though .

That makes me nervous. I don't wanna die...but don't you just unplug the battery doing this install??

Well hang in there . . . I've got Ecellerate looking in to a GB for some SP Performance Rotors . . . I've looked at Rotoras and others and these are the ones I'm getting GB or not.

We'll I installed the 550's, then uninstalled them. I decided to stick with the stock injectors though. With the new fuel system, the performance of the 550's is sub-par to the stock injectors. To get the 550's working right is gonna take alot of time. Using the 550's I had pinging in the engine under load. The power felt abit lower with the 550's too; however, the stock injectors are working very well with the new fuel system, no pinging at all, and alot more power than before the upgrade of the fuel delivery system .
