New Coolant Cap Brings Temp Down?

I was speaking to a couple of friends while my hood was open. He looked at my coolant cap and said "what you only have a 1.1 sized cap"?
He told me that if I get a 1.3 it will reduce my engine temp by 10 degrees!! Because of the tighter seal. I ask a few people that know there stuff and they all agreed. Also recommended a coolant additive to reduce temp. I will re-get the name and repost on that.

Now my question to you guys is; is that information true ,and anyone have have a new coolant cap?

LOL, ummm, sure...

Dont' forget to oil your muffler bearings too

Changing the thermostat will make a difference. 10 degrees from changing the CAP is B.S..

no these items dont bring the temp down but they do make it harder for coolant to boil if water at 0 pressure boils at 220* F then increasing the pressure increases the temp at which it will boil...a hp rad cap and redline water wetter can only help but not alot i have both
