New CL Owner .... What's the secert handshake?
For the past 3 years I have been driving a 88 Honda Accord LX, it just turned 245,000 miles ... A co-worker just bought a BRAND new Acura ... I got his 2001 CL, 185,000 miles for $2,500 ... after driving the 88 Accord, I feel like a bought a brand new car.
This board has already been very helpful, in dealing with a couple of small issues, so thank you for the great posts and information.
Is there and set of posts or pages that offer best practices for tune-up, performance, other intakes, etc, handling packages, etc. And a list of the little quirks that I need to be on the lookout for?
The extra jet was added to the tranny, so the tranny issue is covered.
Oh, yes, What the secret handshake, or code phase to get in the the "in-crowd" on this board?
I live in East Windsor, CT and work at Yale in New Haven would love to connect with DIY'ers that like to turn a wrench on cars, hoping to turn this car into a fun little project, it's in great shape.

Welcome to the zine. From what I can tell, just don't act like this guy and you should be fine. I don't have any problems with him, but a lot of others seem to.

Just poke around and see what you find, no secret handshake needed. Search the forum, a lot of issues have already been covered. Spend some time on here, you'll pick it up pretty quickly.

As far as the secret handshake goes-
Walk up behind a fellow Acura owner and ram your thumb into their bum hole. When they turn around, give them the thumbs up (with the same thumb previously used) while, with your other hand, you pull your ballsack - and only your ballsack - out of your pants. It takes some practice to get it down correctly. Now when you go to meets, you can do the secret handshake and no one will know you are a noob
