New CL owner here

Well, just picked up our 2003 CL type S last Wednesday. So far it is a great ride. Can't wait untill I get a few hundered miles on it so I can turn it loose a little. I shopped it over the internet. I researched the pricing etc and got what I consider a pretty fair deal. I wish I would have found this forum first though. I am a little concerned about the 5 speed auto tranny. Seems like most of the problems are on the TL's but still has me concerned. I will be watching that closely for sure. I may be interested in the tranny cooler option. Seems like a non-destructive mod that could easily be undone if there were warranty issues.

At any rate, not going to sweat it to much, just enjoy the car. This is the best Acura forum I found in my searching by far. I'll be dropping in from time to time.

One question right off the bat, is there an on-line place for getting Acura extended warranties. I really don't care to go to a dealer to get ripped If I can save a few bucks on-line.

Thanks, lrutt

Tranny Cooler is Definately good Insurance; Do a search on SCALBERT's instructions and PICS. He helped me put mine on. I told him of my frustrations with 3 different people who couldn't figure it out. It's really not that bad, but you need to know the area your working in.

Welcome !
