All the coupes it would compete against already cost north of $35k
...
word on the street is yeah 200_!
I wonder if I will unload my 03 Cl-S and buy a new one....
....I can tell you this... if they weld the damn exhaust manifolds to the block like they did on the new TL, I will not buy the new CL.

I’ve been with Acura since 1991 and I’ll be moving on to another brand unless they really pull something impressive out of the bag in the next few years.
And it must be made in Japan to even warrant a test drive.
From what I understand, it is almost a certainty that there will be another coupe in the Acura lineup soon, but priced higher than the previous gen CL. Who knows if it will be called the CL again, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wows everyone. It seems like the new Honda CEO has been set on being more risky and surprising people. The new Civic SI concept is just the beginning and the rumors of a Turbo SH-AWD RDX, and a Turbo AWD TSX sound like they may be the next step. With a former Mazda guy behind Acura now, we may even see a RWD coupe next ... but I'd bet on AWD before RWD.

I'm hoping that they come out with something really impressive, but I'm not holding my breath. A RWD coupe (even made in Ohio) might do it for me. If it's another FWD coupe made in Ohio, I won't even consider it, I've got one of those already.
I think my experiment with FWD is over, I'm probably going back to RWD (or I'll try AWD) for my next new car...
I was just talking about his with my brother last night. He's thinking about a new Tacoma to replace his 2002 Tacoma, so we were talking about our future plans carwise.
I might just keep the CLS as a winter beater and buy something like a C5 Z06 or an older 911, or maybe wait a couple of years and buy something like an used 2005 RL.
Lot of choices out there in cars right now, but nothing is really making me want to get rid of the CLS...

I like my CLS and it’s paid off and under full extended warranty until 2009.
With the value dropping under 20K and trade value much less, I might as well keep it until it dies.
Something RWD with a V8 under the hood will probably be my next summer only toy.
I’m looking forward to a C6 test drive this spring.
I’ve sat in several and it “fits” me quite well.
my inside scoop recently told me that Acura plans to make a TSX coupe ! And he said a $50K coupe is coming......that was all he would tell me. He been selling Acura's for the past 15 years......
Now if they can the NSX, then they have money to build a $50K coupe........We know the NSX is dated and they have to step up or get out the exotic car business. I think lots of new goodies are forth coming........

The transmission issues have scarred me.
Not sure what I want for the future, but it probably won't be for a couple of years. Maybe by then I can pick up a CPO '06 GS300 AWD. It might be on the uninspiring side, but it'll probably be more reliable than my CLS.

Which is more reason, that if you decide to buy the new CL or what ever its called, it would be sound advice to wait aleast 2yrs until improvements have been made kinks have been worked out and by then lets see how the transmission holds up....
There is no way i would of put up with an 01 CLS, tranny fails and YOU had to pay for it before the warranty ext was given. Not on a 35K incl tax car
Have you guys seen the projected civic on www.temple of vtec.com/250hp coming soon!
