New BWM 7 series - Acura please take some notes
http://www.bmwclub.org.hk/news/0021.htm
I like the Automatic Hold. After driving to a stop, let off the brake, the "vehicle remains motionless"
The Controller is also a nice touch. Maybe something similar for Acura's next Navi system?

Wow, they finally put some lines to that car. Looks like a bigger M5, which I like!! The new RL will be a 5 series contender, I don't know that Acura will ever compete with the 7 series, not anytime soon anyway....

I like how the title of the page is "PAINT CHIP REPAIR"... WTF?
They definitely have added some cool tech toys to that thing. The knob that has a different tactile response depending on the menu you're on is pretty cool.

Acura take notes? Uhm, the 7series car is like +15K more expenseive.....and that's even the lowest trim level. The highest w/o protection package is 90K.

Bah, Acura should takes notes for their RL.
And hand down some improvements to the CL/TL as well.
They SHOULD take note.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I am overall unimpressed with the new 740. I thought they would have a better interior than that. The gauges are a bit updated but still look outdated. The a/c controls look the same. The outside looks nice, but the front end doesnt look elegant/nice/mean. It just looks sad. I like the rest of the exterior and I'm sure it will be nicer when I see it in person. But from those pics... very unimpressed.

I guess my post should have been "If you were a design engineer for Acura, what would you do next?"
I'm a fan of ALL auto manufactures. I respect a person in a Kia as much as a Porsche. I did my homework and the Acura CLS was the best car for me. People here get so testy over BMWs. But, they are usually a (short) step ahead of other manufactures with new ideas.

I agree with you Bluto. Upto this point Acura has been pretty good with adding goodies that usually aren't available in the same class. I think that they are trying to appeal to sensible buyer and the new RL should be real nice. Afterall, the new NSX is supposed to have a V8 and like 350hp+ It will be interesting.

I like it alot, I can't imagine how many techno goodies are going to be in that car (I read 20' inch wheels will be optional, we'll see)...hell, even the current dated 7 series has a ton of features (my oldman had a 97 740i)- was really ahead of its time when it came out in 95.
