Real pics update - New Bumper in 1 hr = more aggressive

Just painted part of my bumper to make it more aggressive, no more SMILEY face bumper. 1 hr total time, $1 can of spray paint from Walmart. The pics below are before & after paint. Yes, the after pic is a photoshopped cause didn't have time to take new pic of yet. Will take picture this weekend. It looks more aggressive in person than photoshopped.

Very suprised that the Walmart silver can matched the bumper 97%. Can't barely tell that there was a repaint.

UPDATE: Real pics on bottom of page 2 & top of page 3.

Paint Brand & code: Walmart ColorPlace SprayPaint,
#20012 Silver Aluminum.

More detailed pics on album page, link below.

Wow... that little bit of "paint" does make a big difference. I think I might do this myself. Please post a pic of the result.

Yes, took out the fogs, taped bumper off w/ masking tape & lots of newspapers, then put on 3 coats. Results looks like it came from factory... My wife & I always kinda hated the SMILEY face bumper.
Now it looks great... Maybe now I can live w/ this bumper cause damn ACURA can't come up w/ a front spoiler...

Charles,

It looks like your site received the maximum number of hits for today. before I closed out of the browser last time, I checked out the MR2. Very very clean and mean looking ride.

I might have to disagree w/ you on that. I think the oranges look very distinct against the black on black scheme.

Charles...my initial question, what type of wheels are those?

EricS,

Is that "theBeast" black Mr2... There's not too many Mr2 w/ that flush headlights & C2s wheels. I used to have those C2s also, they were 18x10 in rears, but had to goto 11s.

Damn, you need that much traction? Sweet

Yeap, that's the Beast. I tried to find a good pic of his car without the flush headlights, but couldn't. Here's one tho:

Cool... I wonder what it would look like if you also painted the black "support" part in between the two sides also.

It might also be cool to build a custom fog lamp encasement for that area... which would match the car paint color.

Anything to get rid of smiley

That mod looks nice. Definitely an improvement. What about a plastic insert painted and shaped to match what you have painted on your car. This would make it easier to paint, make it removable for people like myself that have leases, and i will fill the indent a little more so it looks flush with the bumper. Whatcha think guys?

Here ya go, real pics...

Regarding painting the black center supports to match car color,
it would not look good to me. Tried many combinations on photoshop before deciding the final result. More pics on my album page...

No I don't mind, else I wouldn't have post it

Paint code & color is in 1st page in my original post... I didn't sand, but I cleaned the area well from oil, dirt, ect...

Now my wife don't hate my bumper anymore, she likes the new look.
