New Battery?

While I was installing the Mugen cooling mods, I noticed that I can't see the green eye on my battery anymore. Does that mean that it's shot and I need a new one? The car has had a couple hard starts every now and then. I would think the battery would last longer than 2.5 years. If it is on it's last legs, I would want to get a new one before winter hits.

I think I need to replace mine before winter as well. I'll probably go with the Optima.

Are you going with the red or yellow?

Make sure you get the "spacer" that snaps to the bottom of the Optima battery. It brings it up to the height of the stock battery.

Yeah in price!

If you are running a stock stereo system and do not have any additional strain on the stock electrical system the red top will be fine.

I have a system in my car, around 1000 watts total, so I guess I'll get the yellow.

Those spacers don't lift it up at all. They're to prevent side-to-side motion. I have them on my ride so I should know.

interesting...thanks for the visual. Mine is just 2 clips (look like blocks) on either side to prevent it from sliding.

Are the spacers really necessary, or can the battery be installed and secured without the spacer?? I need a new battery soon too.
