I am buying a used, maybe new remote off of ebay for my 97 cl, (b/c mine is busted) anyway i need to know if I have to take it to the dealer to get it re-programed to my car.

btw its a 01 remote

01 wont work with 97 cl. I also have a 97 and bought one from ebay and programed it my self. just put the key in then to position 1 then press lock on remote then turn key back to 0 and repeat 4 times.
