i'm looking for a good tint place in the san gabriel (LA county) area. want a place that uses good tint for a decent price that can do a good job , they need to be able to tint behind the 3rd brake light without taking out the rear seats.

 

i got mine done in ontario not too far from you...they did a great job and they took car of the matrix dots pretty well...you can have them tint that or cover it with vinyl...i'll get back to you with the name and number of the place...i think i posted a picture in a thread where the guy was looking for a picture with the 3rd brake lights tinted also...

 

what exactly is the best thing to do with the dot matrix, a placec near my house (Pro Tint) said they would have to remove it. I don't know, they seem like a shady place to me, i would think that the dot matrix would just be left alone. what is the purpose of the dot matrix?

i went to california tint. it's on rosemead, i little farther down from protint. they do a good job and are pretty cheap. i went w/ a friend and they gave us 10 bucks off for doing 2 at once. 90 bucks for dyed tint, 110 for titanium for all 5 windows, a few years ago tho.

i don't think they do the dot matrix that well. mine is kinda not sticking right to the dots, but it's hard to notice. but they don't cut out for the 3rd brake light so that looks good.

 

i got my tint done at a place called AcuTINT...my tint is called high performance true grey...it has a little reflection to it...cost me 140 but they did a good job with it....there phone number is 909-625-3939

 

I'm not in your area, but the place I went said that tint doesn't stick well to the dot matrix. They put a piece of vinyl over it and it looks great inside and out.

 

got a few questions
1. do you happen to have their phone #
2. is the dyed tint your regular black tint?
3. do you know if they could put vinyl over the dot matrix?
4. about how long did the whole job take to complete?
