Need some advice - leather rippage

Hey guys!

I have a small tear on the seam of my driver's seat. It's really small, and pretty insignificant but I'm worried that it will get worse. And I don't think this should be happening quite so soon anyways (1 year, 4 mos, 26k miles).

Would this be a warranty-covered item or are they going to try to say this is normal wear and tear? Personally, I think it's BS if they blame wear and tear. I condition the leather frequently and I'm not a real big guy!!

hey, mine tore apart in a few parts too, like where the creases in the leather are.

i have only had my car 9 months, plus i have EVERY warranty you can possibly get.

so they are replacing my driver seats leather for free because it shouldnt be doing that.

the problem they told me is that the leather is very thin, but comfortable, so sometimes it gives out

oh well, my new leather comes in this week

Service Manager told me they would replace this once. And that they would replace this anytime under warranty period.

GOOD HINT: I now place seat position #1 WAAAAAYYYY back and this is how it is when I unlock the car. I sit, without hitting the bolster because the seat is so far back, and then move the seat forward to position #2 by hitting the #2 button.

I think this will reduce the wear on the bolster when I sit my average sized ass down in the seat.

Mark, it's all that In-N-Out, hahah yeah right. Let's get to the track this weekend if everyone is good to go.
Mike if you keep taking about your ass, Amir is going start e-mailing you.

Mine has done the exact same thing ! Same place too. I am bringing it in Nov. 11th for repair. My passenger seat stitching is going bad as well. This should not be happening either. I'll keep you posted !
