Need some advice guys....

OK, I just bought a 2005 TL wo/ Nav and have 2,000 miles on it. I also own a 2003 Land Rover which I am selling. I have two opportunities for a new car... I am keeping the TL but heres my problem.....

I can get a 2003 CL Type-S with 22,000 miles for $10,000
or
I can get a 2--5 TL with 10,000 miles for $25,000

Is the CL Type-S for that price worth it instead of just spending the extra bucks and getting a newer car.... I love my TL but I need a car thats a stick. Wife can have the Auto... Both these cars are stick...

Also, what are some of the common mods (besides the simple, CAI, Lower, Rims, etc..) that people have been doing to the Type-S???

Thanks for the input guys.....

an '03CLS 6-speed for only $10K? and only 23K miles? doesn't sound right unless you've got a connection somehow.

if that's the case and the car has a clean history, i'd say go for the CLS. think of how much you save, or even better, think of how much more you could spend to mod up the CLS!

wait.. so let me get this right.. you already have 2005 TL and you are looking to get another one with 10,000 miles for only $25,000? And you somehow can get 2003 CLS 6-speed with 22,000 miles for $10,000? Even if you have a very good connection on that 2003 CLS, that seller must be losing ALOT of money to sell it to you at that price. Hope that was a typo. If not, it HAS TO BE rebuilt or salvage vehicle to justify that price.

If you found a 2003 CL Type-S manual, with 22k miles for $10000, either you made a typo, or the car is a salvage. Run a carfax check on it. They should be selling for twice that.

Hes buying a Mercedes CLS500 Anyway, I had thought about spending the extra dough on mods but was just wondering if it was worth it since it was two years older.... Thanks for the input guys....

F900 The only reason we are replacing the truck is because of the gas mileage. If we could keep it we would in a heart beat.. Still might, evaluating all off the options right now. My wife drives the truck right now and she is only posting, at most, 12-13 mpg in the city. Gas is just too expensive... When it keeps going up like this with the hurricanes... But that will pass. We may tough it out so far. But I will tell you that it is the best SUV I have ever owned. Better than a Navigator, 4Runner and a Murano....
