Need some advice

Hey all,
I have just bought my Aegean Blue 2003 CL types, 6spd, GPS. Beautiful car!! Can't wait to let it loose (in the break in process now).
Here’s what I’d like to find out:
I want to improve the lean/cornering of the car. I want to keep it looking stock, so no 3inch drops or 19” Rims. I will definitely get new tires for the stock rim, what else can I do to get it to handle better?
I’m looking into shocks, strut bar, tie brace??? What works? What would you guys suggest?

Thanks

I could be wrong about this but from what most CL-S people prefer I would say sways would make the most noticable difference beside the Koni sport shocks, buit thats just my thoughts i am sure the others will tell you from experience

Best mod: Comptec Sways, then new RUBBER is a must in this order, then Headers. I'm happy with new tires and sways.....But get rid of those squealing pig OEM tires !
Welcome.....

tires will make the most noticeable difference, and everyone raves about the sways. i just recieved my koni sports 2 days ago, i've heard they are awesome. will know soon enough. if i were you i would get a 3" drop and 19's asap.

Grippy new tires and some comptech sways. If you feel the need after that, comptech springs.....they only drop the car 1.5 inches.

get the Comptech sways--most bang for the buck. agree with others that next step is improved tires, but you can wait a bit on those. the stock tires arent that bad and you'll be out at least 600.00 for new tires. the comptech sways will only hit you for about 300. plus installation but you wont believe the difference.

Just one point, though. Many who have bought the new 03 6spd talk about the suspension being much better than the o1's suspension. So you may not see quite the improvement that those of us with the 01's did.

I really appreciate the advice!

Where is the best place to order the Comptec Sways?

BTW.
As a newbie I would like to mention that this forum is great!

I would recommend stiffening up the ride, getting sways and new tires for the best difference in ride.

A set of coilovers is nice because you can adjust the height and on some of them the dampening.

As far as I know the following companies make them for the car:

- NEX
- Tein
- Zeal
- Apexi ( which I have and I think are great)

If you don't wanna go to 19" you can still get a nice set of lightweight wide rims in 17" or 18".

If you are mainly in the dry the Toyo Proxies T1-S 235.45.17 was great, but where I live with rain and cold weather they don't do good in.

This time around I went with a set of Dunlop SP5000s in 245/45/17 and I think they are amazing, I took them in the snow, in the rain, in the dry and I am truly amazed.

You have the advantage in your 6spd over the automatic because it's less front heavy, and also the helical limited slip differential which reduces understeer.
