There is a large plug about the size of a silver dollar that you can push though to pull any amplifier wires, etc through.

it is covered with a thin rubber layer. you can also see it from the engine side ... stand in front of your vehicle ... lower your head almost level with the engine ... look underneath the strut bar, to the right (driver side) of the actuator .. your see it. poke a screwdriver in, so when you wedge yourself into the driver seat to look up the gas pedal, you'll see where the insulation was poked out.
