Need Opinions.................

I recently took my 03 Cl-S 6spd w/34300 miles on the clock to Goodson Acura in Irving TX to get the SRS light isssue addressed under warranty. Just a little bit about my car: it has a Comptech SC, CT headers, CT sway, 235/45/17 on stock wheels and modified suspension and the car is clean. I have several questions and what would you do in my situation.

Once they fix the seatbelt or the sensors that went bad is there any reason for the tech to test drive the car for 7 miles?

How would you react once you get your car back and it has one quart of gas less (from 3/4 tank to one line above the 1/2 tank mark)?

What would you think when you open your trunk lid and see your subwoofer box shifted out of position (box slid towards the bumper/trunk lid lock) and small tools and towels all scattered in the trunk?

What should I do? I already called the service rep at the dealer but no call back and he is out on vacation. I know the obvious is not to return for service. The bottom line is that I should be able to take my car for service and not have idiots drag or race my car just because its a limited version

Unless you can prove it there's nothing you can do but not go back there. Your service invoice should have miles in & miles out listed. If there's a big gap you can ask about it.
It's unfortunate but service guys will sometimes do this to cars that they deem cool, or fun to drive.
I've seen it 1st hand.

That is what I was thinking... no need for test drive. Shit, I had taken my car in to the same dealer for the warp brake issue and the test drive was under 4 miles. Well, I did leave a long nasty voicemail message for the Service Manager and at the present time I am just waiting for him to call back with answers to my question.

Well, most likely I will not return to that dealer for service. My invoice shows the miles in of 34300 miles and the miles out is blank/empty box.

I've had issues at dealers service 'abusing' my car. Once the radio had been tuned to a station I don't listen to and was so loud my speakers were rattling.
I had a new door ding too. I complained and they said the guy had been fired. I didn't believe them.

I always ask them not to turn on my stereo, sounds picky, but they should get their own radio if they need music while working on my car IMO.

I'd complain about 7 miles logged to fix a sensor.

Well, I got a call back from the service manager from Goodson Acura and I followed to explained how disgusted and irrate I was with my last service at the dealer. He gave me the sad excuse that his forman a 48y/o mechanic was the person that worked on my car and that there was no way that he would have drag or race my car. Then I asked him to explain why I was short almost a full quart of gas and why my sub box and tools were all thrown around in the trunk. He followed to tell me that most likely he did take off fast when he was test driving the car and that my personal items shifted out of position. We went back and forward with this issue for about 5 minutes and the last thing that came out of his mouth was the next time, if you are so picky with your car do not take a loaner and just wait in the service area and you can see everything that goes on with your vehicle and that way you want have any concerns with my service. At this point I almost blew a gasket and eplained (very loud tone) to him that I have to right leave my car for service, take a loaner if the work warrantes it and not have to worry about some idiot abusing my car for his pleasure.

At this point, I told him that this convesation was over and that he did not seem to have the intention of apologizing or correcting the issue hand and as of this day he wouldn't have the privilige to lay his hands on none of my three Acuras and this was the last time that I would take my car for service. The fucker just stated its your choice not bring it to the dealer and good luck with your cars and hanged up.

I was just in disbelieve. DO NOT USE GOODSON ACURA

complain to someone higher... don't let this go. this dealer doesn't seem to have the "customer is always right" motto. i hate dealerships for this reason, they don't care about ur car. that's why i work on it myself...

btw, i had that stupid srs thing too... they said they reset it and made me pay ~$200 for a reset. then he starts explaining i have to get this and this replaced and the srs light might come back on whenever it wants. BS. 12,000 miles from then and still no light.

update us

esp with 7 miles on the car. No excuse he made covered driving your car for 7 miles IMO. I guess there is no dealer in Laredo, or did you move. I think I remember you bought the car in Austin or myabe I'm wrong?
I don't trust the dealers here anymore than anywhere else, unless you sit and watch, and even then I have seen things I had to complain about.

Yes, I purchased my car in Austin in April of 2003. Since then I have moved from Laredo to the DFW area. The nearest dealer to Laredo is San Antonio (Gunn Acura). BTW I have already sent a very long and nasty email to the General Manager of Goodson Acura. I will let you guys know what happens. Anyways, I will be trying out Vandergriff Acura in Arlington when I take my RDX in for some service and warranty issues.
