Blower is spinning twice as fast now....

You can not get more boost out of it.

I think I remember sgmotoring cutting another pulley for more boost. Never saw anything else on that effort though. Where's he at? It wasn't that long ago.

The internal blower speed should not exceed 16,000 rpm. That works out to be around 10psi. After that you run the risk of the blower's internals hitting each other or throwing a bearing. 10psi is all you'll get safely from the 62 series blower. Time to step up to a MP90 where you'll get 15psi. A smaller pulley can be made though...although I wouldn't suggest it. Contact www.pulleyboys.com

The physical size of the two blowers are not that different although the MP90 is considerably wider than the MP62 (by 12"):

You are correct. That is definitely MM.

In that case it could definitely be made to fit.

How on earth are you running 10psi right now on 91-octane?!?! I have to retard timing at 6psi.... we do have the same engine, right?

I think its the difference in air-flow.... I don't think the S/C flows the same amount of air as a turbo.

Based on my calculations, with the following parameters (which is what is provided with Scalbert's IC kit):
7" Crank pulley
3.275" Alternator pulley
3.3" SC Shaft pulley

The blower spins at the following speeds:

I'm no math wiz so these calculations could be completely off... but I based this off a calculator for the RSX kit which also uses the MP62 blower.

I tweaked it a little bit so it should be reading accurately now. Basically with Scalbert's combination of pulleys you are pretty damn close to the max rpm that Eaton's graphs hit for the MP62. Notice they all stop at 16,000 rpm

Delta P: Pressure Difference
Volumetric efficiency: Efficiency with which engine can move air in and out of combustion chamber. 100% = as much mix goes in as volume of combustion chamber is.

Calculations are wrong. I forgot one aspect of the formula required. I'll update it later...

the fact that you're wanting more boost makes me wonder how well your car is running.

you should have at least 350 whp, right?

have you dyno'd your car lately to see what it's putting down?

I have the Payn tech pulley...and I live in FL. maybe that's were the confusion came from. The pulley is certainly 10 Lbs.

Sorry for not having any more updates on the car. Maybe I can pick it up tomorrow or Friday (I'm not holding my breath).

No I don't, but I believe the dimensions are listed probably on a previous post. Do a search under "Max" boost pulley. If that doesn't work you can contact Payn Tech.
