Need to know what I should get for Brakes.
Ok its time to get a new set of brake pads, rotors the works. I just thought instead of getting the stock set lets upgrade to something better. Can anyone give me options on a full set?
Thanks for the help

well first of all, how much are you willing to spend on the upgrade?
that'll define what your options are.
under 1G = get aftermarket crossdrilled rotors, get better pads, and upgrade your brake lines.
over 2G = get the brembo kit (Front only)
i don't know how much the willwood kit is, but that is another option depending on the price.

I went with this off the buy in our black market,,,you don't need to replace the rear rotors just the pads, they don't work as hard as the fronts,, I spent almost 300 and have been very impressed with them,, my only drawback is the brake dust needs cleaning weekly (I drive 500/week and do a lot of highway stops). Every thing fit fine and was a very easy swap.

Acura-CL price is $172.80 for the front pair with free shipping
Acura-CL price is $118.75 for the front/rear Ultimate brake pads with free shipping
So just the front, rotors with new pads on both right? I have 30000 miles on her

That's the combo that worked for me,, also don't turn (resurface) the rear rotors unless there is metal to metal wear,,,,

get the Wilwood kit if you want to spend close to 2k.
2 piece rotors, and 6 pistons, its really a great kit.
i just got them and ill post a review in a few weeks once i get some experimenting on them.
but it all depends on what you want. do you want looks or perf. or both?
i wanted the perf. (looks came with it anyways), but if you are not heavy on the brakes then you dont need anything better than some pads, new lines, and new rotors.

If your budget is only $700 or less, just get some aftermarket stock size rotors, & better pads. If you can swing the SS lines get those too. You will not see a big difference is stopping power, but the brakes will resist fade, & the pedal feel will be better. The only way to shorten stopping distance is to go bigger.

At 30 k miles the rears wear about 1/3 of the fronts,,, I don't think the rotors are damaged unless your auto-cross racing,, have someone you trust look at them,,, or just resurface them $8-10 each at a Napa store... This is a easy job but I think you should have a mech do it.. They should not charge more than 2 hours labor max...
