Need Help Quick! Please!

ok i finally got my 18 O.Z. Superleggeras on today with my Yokohama Parada Spec-2 225/40/18 and i was on my way home and i floored it to see if there was a noticable difference.....and when i hit the redline.....it didnt shift to the next gear....it just bounced as if it was a standard and hadnt been shifted....it was like wa wa wa wa wa.....im sure u all know what im talking about with that imagery.....but do u guys have any clues as to what it could be? u think that maybe theyre so much lighter that it affects the shifting points?? i really have no clue and would appreciate anything....seriously....please help! ahhhh thanks guys

so you hit the red line in 1st gear or 2nd gear? if you were in 2nd make sure you weren't in SS mode.

If not...it could just be because they are so much lighter the car's computer probably hasn't compensated for it yet.

damn it seems like everyone's getting the OZ Supers...

I just asked about the OZ Superlaggers today at the tire shop... Yep I may got those.. You can't beat a deal for less than $1450 on a 18" set with tires.. I sure that my tire place would match the price...

I hate it when I do that. I usually forget and try to go somewhere fast and forget I'm still in SS mode.......not to mention the couple of times I thought I was in SS and was in D5 and "downshifted" straight to neutral, then have to pull over to stop and put it back in drive. Sometimes I hate SS !

i think there is a safety feature on the ecu that if the rpm go to high, it kills the accelerator, and brings it down, i accidentally did that in mine, except mines a 6speed.

i don't know much about the auto cl's tranny setup, but if ur in the shift mode where you can change gears you still have the ability to redline..
