ok, so i am on the florida turnpike at the toll booth. I pay and next to me is a ford ranger. I floor the cl as i always do to about 85 onto the merge lane... and when i gunned it so did this ranger. I dont know what the heck this FORD RANGER had under the hood, but this guy was about 1 car length back after about 10-85. It was incredible. any ideas of what he could of done?

 

wow, some kid at my school has a ranger that runs 12's, i aint sure what is sone to it though

what aboiut that anger that had a 5.4 swap that was blown, was on car and driver, the THUNDERBOLT?

was it blue?

 

If it was a Thunderbolt, the CL-S wouldn't have stood a chance. They are just as fast as the Lightnings if not faster.

 

I dont know what it was guys. All I know is that he was very fast.. about 1 car length back...

 

one car back on a CLS is not "very fast"

 

I had one with a 4.0L and a 5 speed manual tranny that was pretty quick if you could launch it without lighting up the tires.

 

thunderbolt is just a concept, so i doubt it was one of those

 

I think that was a relative term.

 

I think that he meant very fast for a ranger. There is a ranger around Kansas Cit that runs 12's very ugly, but really really freaking fast.

 

It could have been a couple things
#1. like they said a V-8 swap.(my friend has a s-10 with a built 350 that will run)
#2. a 4.0 V-6(Which is the biggest motor you can get from ford in a Ranger) with a supercharger and a intake
#3. he could have always been spraying a little shot (like a 50 shot)
