need help quick, 48mm or 50mm offset?

wheel experts, help quick, what's a better combo for our car, 19x8 with a 50 offset, or a 48 offset? howabout 18x7.5, with a 50 offset or a 48?
thanks

You should be fine with either one. I'm rolling on 19x7.5 with a 45mm offset & Eibach Springs. I rub on steep drops with my system, but without the system I dont experience any rubbing. The only problem with 19s is that you feel everything on the road. When I had 18s the ride was a bit smoother. 48mm or 50 should work fine though...I dont think there's a "best combo"

you don't think the inner wheel will touch the suspension on a 8" wide wheel with a 50mm? by the way, the wheel would barely have a lip...

Here are the specs:
7" rim with +55 offset vs 8" rim with +50 offset

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 8mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 18mm

I am ordering wheels from a manufactering company and i wanted to direct them towards our OEM wheel specs but in 18" and 19" diameters. I think the closest to OEM would be 18" x 7.5" 5 x 114.3 with a 50 offset, and a 19" x 7.5 with a 50mm offset, or should i go 7" wide on both diameters, i gotta make a quick decission, gonna order the wheels tonight...

I think with a 7.5" width a 48 offset or 8" with a 42 offset is good. Don't forget your rims are wider now. I would want to increase in width evenly, 1/4 inch inward and 1/4 inch outward or 1/2" in and 1/2" out.

i hope you're meaning 8" with a 50 offset.

sorry for the mistake. I mean 7.5 width with a 42 off set and 8" with a 48 off set is good. I would not want the width to increase evenly. To much negative off set or too wide a rim with same off set, will make the rim stick out of the fender.

Don't go 42mm offset if you have a dropped car. Minimum for a dropped car would be +45. I have a 43mm offset but my car is not dropped. The wheels lines right up with the fender.

i am pretty sure it wont rub with 19x8 with 48 offset unless u slam ur car to the ground, then anything will rub. i think alot of ppl here use 19x8 with 42 offset.

i say go with 48 offset because u wanna flush the fender... 50 offset is a little bit too high for 8" rims.

i would go with 50 offset if ur gonnaput on 18x8.5...

believe it or not when you lower your car, the rim actually tuck in a little.
