Need Help - Bumper Dent and getting behind it.

Okay so had a little bit of a run-in with another bumper over the weekend. It isn't all that bad so I figure for now I just want to push the dent out, however, there is this plastic thing at the bottom of the bumper, anybody know how to get those plastic screws off so I get get my hand in there and knock the dent out?

Also, has anybody fully replaced the bumper cover? If so, how much did it cost you, because there are quite a few chips from driving on the freeway so often that I might just get a new one.

Here is a pic, seems like it was pushed down a little to from the headlight housing:

i had the same type of dent but a little bit lower on the bumper...dont know how close you are to the North Wales/blue bell area, but i had a guy there pop mine out for 40 bucks i think?

otherwise you should be able to pop those screws out with a flat-head screw driver...

They are just pop in clips. Flip them out with a small flat blade. But your not going to have enough room behind to do it anyway. That is too close to the centerline of the bumper. The front bumper cross beam is in the way. Your going to have to remove the entire front bumper & then push it out from behind. See the bumper removal FAQ. The pics will show you what I mean.

I work in Horsham, do you have the guys number? I think for under $100 I'd rather get somebody to do it for me.

you can probably get at that by removing your fog light and shoving your arm in there, no?

Don't think so, here's the pic of what's behind the bumper cover. It actually goes well into the bumper cover I don't see any room to do it unless the bumper is off.

I just removed my bumper cover this weekend. It's actually a lot simpler than you might think. I also had my bumper cover repaired (under the guys insurance that hit me) and it cost just under $500 to have it fixed and painted.

Edit...Actually after looking at the pic it seems it's more to the side then the front, so it may be easy to push out.

That's exactly what I did

Although it didn't push out all the way so there is still a slight dent.

I was thinking of that because as I said, there is still part of it that didn't push out so it is slightly indented.

Half as noticible than the picture above.

So that slight dent went away on its own this morning. I am guessing the heat caused it to expand back to normal.
