Ok, so I purchaed this used bra with no instructions and I really need to get it installed but I am having a hard time figuring out how to install the little "Button Snaps"

I have a set of these for each side:



Now I pulled this:



Out from here:



Closer



I then attempted to replace it with the hardware in the first picture with no luck

And still can't figure out how this thing is supposed to stay in there!

Am I missing a piece? Am I putting it in the right place?

That little metal insert needs to go in the hole between the fender & plastic liner. After that the screw/snap will screw into that insert & hold.

 

Are you talking about the same hole I have the arrow pointing to?

I tried putting the metal/rubber insert there, but it is reall loose and falls out
