need help anybody experiece this??

Well , to be put corectly i know a couple of people have experienced what i am abt to say. I just changed my brake set up, used slotted frozen rotors and them 95 acura calipers Ls legend. the install was all good except for the fact that you had to swap the right caliper to the left side and vice versa. the only problem i am having know is that the damn thing is making that clicking sound like i broke a bearing however it didnt b4 the insatll so i know its the brakes thats messing up. i am in the process of braking them in but this damn nosise is driving me crazy (sounds like a clicking or draging a few small tin cans along the road) annoying PLS what can i do to eleviate such a problem. i also used napa ceramics eventhough the manual for frozen rotors recommends using metallic pads
Pls anybody what can i do to quiet the noise down , i already am using napa ceramics, any suggestn, pls help help help ..................

maybe the pads are catching on one or more of the slots on the rotor?? that's my best guess without additional info. If all else fails try putting your stock rotors on and see what happens.

When I had my NSX calipers installed there was a similar noise, and it was contineous. Not just when I was braking. It turned out that there was a spring plate on the top. It's part 18 below, and it just slides into place on the top end of the caliper....

The CL does not have one. Took that off, and the noise went away. The edge of the rotor was just catching it, and causing the noise. The CL front brake set up is below. No spring plate....

I JUST started having this same problem a few days ago... the clicking is continuous, but it escalates when I'm on rough roads.

It sounds like metal clanging every time the wheel spins... gets faster at about 10-30 mph... then cuts off at about 35-40 mph. I've been using the same rotors/pads (rotora/akebono) for about 10K miles, and they've been fine so far... any suggestions??

BTW, it's only the front wheels (maybe even only the left front wheel), and I can sometimes feel the clanging in my foot...

Thanks 4 such info i had give that a try however i am suprised u said the Cl does not have one as i actually saw one in there when they took the stock calipers off, and i know another one came with the 95 legend calipers
BUT WHAT THE HELL IS ITS FUNCTION OR WHAT DOES IT DO MAY BE I SHOULD JUST REMOVE IT (PART # 18)

just to be sure are u talking abt that alluminium like metal that snaps and springs in to place ????

I just removed mine. No problem after that. I don't remember seeing one when I had the CL calipers off.

The CL has 2 like the part 14 on either side. The Legend and NSX have a third one that sits on the top.

As for the left to right swap, it has to do with the position of the bleeder screw. It seems they are are on opersite sides from the CL. I think this is just for the Legend though.

Did you check to see if the brake shield got pushed in and is rubbing against the rotor. Typically that noise is related to the brake dust shield rubbing against something as the wheel is turning.

Just FYI - my problem ended up being the front left stabilizer link ($30.01 at the dealership) and a worn lower ball joint ($43 for a L/R pair).

I know some places do it. Would probably be best to call several places, like O'Reilly's or other part places, even brake shops.

Wish I found this thread when I was searching for the same problem with that top retaining clip on the Legend calipers. Oh well.

Some quick questions for all of you who changed caliper. Did you guys get brand new legend or NSX caliper, or used one? What year of Caliper for Legend or NSX fit or provides best result?
