Need help 2 questions
1- How do you adjust the parking brake on a 6 speed? I see an access cover in the console, I couldn't get it off though.
2- After lowering with Comptech springs, do I need to get my headlights aimed? Would a dealer do that under warranty if I just showed up & said I couldn't see, & could they look at them?
Thanks

2 - you shouldn't have too. Since the Comptech drop isn't too extreme you should be fine. Best thing to do would be to mark the beam before you drop it, and if for some reason you notice that after you drop it they're a lot lower, then you should re-aim them. I believe the directions are in the manual... so you shouldn't need a dealer's help.
The proper precedure starts at the rear wheels .Remove them and you will see a black plug remove it .Once this is done you can rotate the rotor untill the star wheel adjuster for the e-brake is visible .Adjust this star wheel adjuster using a long thin flat blade screw driver untill the rotor is locked then back off jsut a bit till it spins again .Do this on both sides remembering that it must be done with the e-brake handle in the fully released position .Reasemble the rear of the car .Now inside the car you must remove the rear of the center console and lift it to make the final adjustment .This is done so that the e-brake handle fully locks the rear wheels with about six to seven clicks .Removing the rear half of the center console is easy ,start by removing the two trim strip that are on each side of the center console .They simply snap into place .Now remove the two screws that attach the leading edge of the rear portion of the center console .Then remove the little scrap of carpeting in the center console itself and remove the two screws there .The console can now be moved out of the way .Please not there is a single electrical connector that you must disconnect you will see it as you begin to pull the console out .It helps if you fully engage the e-brake handle for clearance.
DO a search on the headlight adjustment here and you will find simple instructions how it is done it is also covered in that great book of all knowledge ,the owners manual .Jens

Thanks Jens, I had the brake adjusted 2 times, & it still doesn't work right. The dealer keeps adjusting the handle, I guess my problem is at the rear wheels? I though it was self adjusting at the wheels?
For the headlights, I already dropped it so I couldn't make the before marks. I have problems finding a flat wall anywhere near me, so it's hard for me to adjust them myself.

Yeah the correct way is to adjust from the rear brakes first that is the coarse adjustment the interior is a just a fine adjustment .You may end up having to go to a dealer or shop that has proper headlight aiming tools so that your headlights are good to go .We use the shop entrance door as a convenient point to do it with .Jens
How does it look when you drive at night? Dealer is not likely to warranty it, particularly if he notices the drop.

I thought there was a pdf & pics around. Not sure if they still are. In any case there's nothing really to it. The handle you need to take the center console out. That can be found in several DIY threads in audio section, & armrest removal from the FAQ.
The rotors, you can see in the DIY brake threads again in the FAQ.

About the headlights after lowering the car. First, the dealer will notice your car being dropped if they are any good, and might not even adjust them and if they do they normally set it for normal height. I had to raise mine up and all I did is I backed my car into my garage, put the door down and even though you want to be a little farther away, it does work. I moved mine up about 2 inches, then went for a night drive. When a CAI, it's really easy to adjust and after the drive, just brought them up a little more so I can see out farther. As long as I don't get people flashing me, I'm good. About the brakes, I agree with the others, that the adjustment at the lever is a fine adjust and mostly to adjust the brake handle more than anything. Hope this helps....
