Need Comptech B-Pipe Help!

This is for those of you that have installed the Comptech B-Pipe.

On my way to work this morning the pipe between the Cat and resonator came apart at the resonator end and started dragging on the interstate. With the help of the local Freeway Service Patrol vehicle we managed to tie it up enough so I could get to work.

I had a local shop put on the B-pipe years ago so I am not exactly sure how they connect. The clamp that secures the two pipes together is still attached but I don’t know if there are any other parts that may have fallen off. I couldn’t find any detailed pictures of the B-pipe before installation online to get an idea. The pipe that is dragging just barely touches the resonator side and the clamp will not slide any further rearward. It is hard to believe that part of the stainless steel actually broke but anything is possible!
Any ideas?

The car sounds like ass and it is deafening inside.

No clamps are involved. They should be bolted together.

There are band clamps. The bolts are on the cat side not the resonator side.

My current plan is to head over to the muffler shop and see if they can repair it.

Turned out to be a broken weld on the Comptech B-Pipe. The muffler shop welded it back together for $43. This is rather disapointing concidering how much it cost. So this now makes the second Comptech product that has failed on my car. The first was a set of springs that rusted through.

Oh well, that the life of having a modified car.

Well considering that is the first one I've ever read about on our site, I think they're doing a pretty damn good job.

Consider if OBX or the others made b pipes.
