Damn, I never figured you for going the ricer route. Unless you're going to go with a custom turbo or even the Comptech S/C that's pretty bad. I didn't even know HKS made a blow-off for our car.....

weren't you installing a "dummy" intercooler into your bumper? I remember you saying something about having that custom installed in the lower grill. Is this all related to the same project?

You didn't install it correctly!!

You need to tee-off the top radiator-hose, weld a flange to the bottom of the blow-off. Then point it towards the intake... then hook up the vaccuum so that whenever you let go the gas, it shoots coolant into the intake

I just hope you were kidding as I was!!

Re: Need BOV help...

I see your problem. No wiring was needed. You were supposed to bolt it up to the power steering pulley. That way as the revs climb you get a nice whirring sound.

allmotor_2000: OH! So i'm supposed to slice the radiator hose and the fuel line and connect the two together! Gotcha

scalbert: but if I did that...wouldn't the tiewrap I needed to use get in the way?

Oh well, we had our fun

The best thing is to see the way people react. I love the fact that just b/c some people don't think you should put a BOV on a CL they automatically start bashing on you and trying to force their opinions on you. "Well, I don't think you should do that, so that's rice, blah blah blah blah". What was also interesting is that some people actually tried to help, that was a nice surprise.

I think I'm going to save this link since I'll be taking some classes this fall. You never know... I may be able to use this as a case study for a project. It would be a perfect example of how people react when something a little different is introduced. Some help.. others just bash based on their personal opinions.

peiqinglong, I must say that this was a priceless topic on many different levels. Good stuff!!

you're going into this a little too deeply with the "case studies" and what not. mine wasnt a bash, it was an observation. ha

Keen observations skills...considering you didn't catch the joke.

I'm merely lightening up the atmosphere here...people need to laugh every once in awhile. Some people found it funny and others didn't. I don't care. I had the parts around and I was snapping some pics of other stuff...so this wasn't a big stretch for me as far as setting this shoot up.
